What motivates you to be part of SILA?
Growing my own food and connecting to the land through agroecology has changed my life. However it can feel quite lonely and overwhelming as a food producer and as a consumer to carry the responsibility of how we consume and grow our food in a broken and polluting system. Connecting with peers and supporting each other through a community like SILA is for me the best way to grow the agroecology movement, and to support local and fair production together as food producers, consumers and retailers. I hope that together we can imagine a food system that's respectful of those who grow the food, that's regenerating our soil and our water, and that's accessible to all.
